Exciting dances and music fill the air. There are moments that make you laugh uncontrollably and others that touch your heart. Stages featuring singers who seem like old friends you're delighted to see are also a must-see. These Chuseok performances create unforgettable memories, no matter if experienced with family, friends, or a loved one, and appeal to every preference.
◇ Musicals "Mamma Mia!" and "Mrs. Doubtfire"

You can't prevent your shoulders from swaying. *Mamma Mia!*, now playing at the LG Art Center Seoul in Gangseo-gu, is a musical that captivates people of all genders and ages. The plot follows a daughter who invites three of her mother's ex-boyfriends to her wedding on a Greek island, blending smoothly with the popular songs of the Swedish pop group ABBA. The finale, where the whole audience stands up to sing and dance like wedding attendees, is the true standout moment. There are two shows each day on the 4th, 7th, and 8th throughout the holiday season.

The musical *Mrs. Doubtfire* is one that people of all ages can appreciate. Following a divorce, a father disguises himself as a nanny to be near his distant children, resulting in a series of humorous situations when he secretly works at his ex-wife's house. Known for its hilarious scenes and emotional moments, the show has been consistently sold out at the Charlotte Theater in Songpa-gu, Seoul. It showcases three different actors—Hwang Jung-min, Jung Sung-ho, and Jung Sang-hoon, who makes a return to musicals after nine years.

Park Geun-hyung, 85, who successfully sold out all 139 shows of *Waiting for Godot* over 600 days across 31 cities alongside Shin Goo, 89, is currently performing the play *Waiting for Waiting for Godot* (hereafter *WFWG*) at YES24 Stage on Daehak-ro in Seoul. This version features the tale of two understudies waiting indefinitely for their opportunity to perform in a theater staging *Waiting for Godot*. The play serves as a metaphor for life—a series of uncertain waits—but often elicits laughter and applause from the audience. The narrative, filled with ignorance, foolishness, exaggeration, and pretense, along with unfair coincidences, reflects our own experiences. It stars Kim Byung-chul, Lee Sang-yoon, and Choi Min-ho (Shinee).
◇ 'Again Gayo Top 10' and 'Sesibong' Events

Nostalgic singer performances are ongoing. On the 4th, at Sky Art Hall in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, singers Jeon Young-rok, Kim Min-woo, Lee Beom-hak, and Won Mi-yeon will reenact 1990s hit performances in *Again! Gayo Top 10*. On the same day, at SA Hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul, singer Hong Kyung-min will present the *Monthly List* show. This initiative, which has released a new song every first Saturday since July, remains active throughout the Chuseok holiday. On October 11th and 12th at Seoul Olympic Hall, original members of Sesibong—Jo Yeong-nam, Song Chang-sik, Yoon Hyung-joo, and Kim Se-hwan—will reunite after 57 years for the *Sesibong Last Concert* to conclude the holiday season.
Traditional Korean performances and games play a significant role during the holiday period. From the 8th to the 9th, the *3rd World Pansori Festival* will take place at Namsangol Hanok Village and the Seoul Namsan Gugak Center. Notable features include the World Pansori Choir performing "Bak Taryeong" from *Heungbo*, the World Gayageum Byeongchangdan presenting *Chunhyangga* along with new pieces, international pansori artists from France, Cameroon, and the UK performing the "Meeting the Inspector" scene from *Chunhyangga* as a changgeuk (Korean opera), and the autumn harvest-themed pansori play *Gongjung Jebiyon*.

The National Gugak Center is set to present the seasonal performance *Bright Round Moon* at the Yeonhui Madang venue in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on Chuseok, which falls on October 6th. The event includes *Hyangdugye Nori*, a collection of work songs from the Pyeongan area, a show by tightrope performer Nam Chang-dong along with his son Nam Hae-woong (a member of the National Changgeuk Company), and performances of *Ganggangsullae*, *Pangut*, and the *Janggu Dance*.
