The stars from TV Chosun’s *Mr. Trot 3*, which heated up the start of 2025, returned to the stage with *Love’s Call Center - Seven Stars*. The beloved variety show *Love’s Call Center*, which brought laughter and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been refreshed after four years under the new title. Led by the Top 7 (眞 Kim Yong-bin, 善 Son Bin-ah, 美 Cheon Rok-dam, Chun Gil, Choi Jae-myung, Nam Seung-min, Choo Hyuk-jin), national MC Kim Seong-joo and Boom are continuing the legacy of the *Mr. Trot* series’ popularity.
Stars from the *Miss & Mr. Trot* series have been meeting viewers through *Trot All-Star Battle: On Friday Nights*. Since *Miss Trot* premiered in 2019, the *Miss & Mr. Trot* series has become a gateway for numerous stars and a blue-chip IP (intellectual property) in the entertainment industry, creating a “Trot Universe.” It began on April 16 of last year as *Trot All-Star Battle: On Wednesday Nights* and moved to 10 p.m. on Friday nights on September 5 of last year, rebranding as *Trot All-Star Battle: On Friday Nights*. The show centers on the Top 7 from *Miss Trot* Season 3 (Jeong Seo-joo, Bae Ah-hyun, Oh Yu-jin, Miss Kim, Na Young, Kim So-yeon, Jeong Seul), with fixed members including Kim Hee-jae from *Mr. Trot* Season 1 and 眞 An Sung-hoon and Na Sang-do from *Mr. Trot* Season 2. As the title “All-Star” suggests, it is a grand trot festival where not only stars from *Miss & Mr. Trot* but also legendary trot singers gather. Boom, who dominates the music variety scene, takes the solo microphone, shouting “Let the music begin!” to elevate the excitement.
The *TV Chosun Trot Universe* concluded with a cast of well-known personalities from the *Miss & Mr. Trot* series. Song Ga-in, the leading star of *Miss Trot* Season 1, who played a key role in the show's popularity, joined other Season 1 participants such as Kang Ye-seul, Kim Na-hee, Kim So-yu, Kim Hee-jin, Duri, Song Ga-in, Sukhaeng, Jeong Da-kyung, and Jeong Mi-ae (listed in alphabetical order) before their concert *Cheotjeong* in July. Song Ga-in remarked, “It’s wonderful to return to my ‘hometown’ and reunite with all the members.”
The former participants of the *Mr. Trot* series also displayed their abilities without any restraint. Park Ji-hyun, the 'Sang' from Season 2 of *Mr. Trot*, who joined as a guest from the first episode of *On Wednesday Nights*, concluded the show as the last guest, symbolizing both the start and finish. Hwang Yun-sung from Season 1 of *Mr. Trot*, along with Park Seong-on, Kim Yong-pil, Sung Min, Won Hyuk from Season 2, and Yu Ji-woo, Park Ji-hoo, Namgoong Jin, Park Jeong-min, Ko Eun-jun, Kim Hyun-soo, Kwon Seo-kyung, Kim Hong-nam, Ko Young-tae, Park Kyung-deok, and Lee Saeng-no from Season 3, also highlighted their friendship.
The *Miss Trot* series’ leading stars were equally impressive. Han Ga-bin from Season 1, 眞 Yang Ji-eun and 善 Hong Ji-yoon from Season 2, along with Kim Tae-yeon, Kim Ui-young, Eun Ga-eun, Hwang Woo-rim, and Kim Sa-eun, showcased their skills. Season 3’s Lee Soo-yeon and Han Soo-jeong, who moved audiences with their emotional performances, and Punggeum also appeared. Additionally, Kim Yu-ha and An Yul from *Tomorrow Is National Singer* and Choi Yeo-won from the TV Chosun University Song Festival contributed. Yeom Yu-ri, the “true tension” member from *Miss Trot* Season 3, who was a fixed cast member on *On Wednesday Nights*, left the show in September.
The collection of renowned veteran artists is equally impressive. Shim Soo-bong, a celebrated singer who has been rarely seen on television lately, kicked off the first episode, marking the debut of *TV Chosun Trot Universe*. Jeon Young-rok, Jang Yun-jeong, Jin Sung, Kim Yong-im, Koo Chang-mo, Tae Jin-ah, Hyun Sook, Kang Jin, Kim Hyo-seon, Jeong Hoon-hee, Kim Tae-hwa, Park Ae-ri, Yoon Hang-gi, Kim Sung-whan, Johnny Lee, Yoon Su-il, No Sa-yeon, Jo Young-nam, Yoon Hyung-joo, Song Chang-sik, Kim Se-hwan, Jung Soo-ra, Jin Mi-ryeong, Jo Hang-jo, Choi Jin-hee, Yoon Bok-hee, and Coyote also performed on stage. Artists such as Lee Yong-sik, Jo Jeong-min, and Lee Dae-dosi also demonstrated their singing abilities. Unlike standard TV Chosun spin-off shows that usually feature "karaoke master" scores, this program emphasizes live band performances, offering audiences the authentic energy of a concert. It also includes an "AI Master" to keep up with modern trends.
