Dhaka, June 3 -- In an incident on the Dhaka-Tangail highway within Basail upazila late Monday night, three individuals from the same family lost their lives, while another three sustained injuries in a road crash.
The victims have been identified as Amzad Mandal, aged 65, along with his two sons, Ratul Mandal, 26, and Atul Mandal, 13, from the Kamarchar region of Sherpur district.
Injured Amzad's wife and two others have been undergoing treatment at Tangail Sadar Hospital.
Women harassed, belongings stolen on moving bus in Tangail
The Officer-in-ChARGE at the Gorai Highway police station, Mohammad Jamal Uddin, stated that a microbus heading towards North Bengal collided with a stationary truck around 9 pm, resulting in three people dying at the scene.
The wounded were quickly taken to Sadar Hospital, and the remains were released to the families of those who passed away.
