Gorkha, June 6 -- Work on building a vehicular bridge across Naulikola at Lapubensi, which falls under Ward 7 of Dharche Rural Municipality, has come to a standstill. Awarded to Suryodaya Construction in mid-July 2022 with an expected completion date set for July 2024, the project is currently just 55% finished.

The pillars on either side have been finished, and diversion pipes have been put in place to ensure water can still be directed through during the monsoon period.

People from the area mention that the unfinished bridge hinders journeys to the north during the rainy season as there are no detours. This structure, which has cost approximately Rs43.5 million, will span 35 meters in length and 8.4 meters in width.

Upon completion, this project will facilitate accessibility to Machhakhola in Dharche and the rural municipalities of Chumanuwri.
