Citizens of Ghana no longer require conventional visas to visit Morocco, thanks to a recent accord reached by both nations.

Ghana's Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, announced that the country has implemented a new policy set to take immediate effect. Under this new system, instead of going through the embassy for visa applications, visitors can secure an online travel authorization within 24 hours.

"This is among the principal accords achieved alongside the Moroccan Foreign Minister throughout my two-day official trip," stated Ablakwa.

This alteration aims to simplify and expedite travel, enhancing tourism, commerce, and individual ties between Ghana and Morocco. Currently, direct flights link these nations, and further expansions seem probable.

“The borders in Africa must not be allowed to divide us they can be bridges of connectivity,” Ablakwa added.
