
Kathmandu, June 7 - On Thursday, Himalaya Airlines, a joint venture between Nepal and Tibet, marked its 10th year since inception in Kathmandu. Dignitaries from various sectors including the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation Authority, representatives from the Chinese Embassy, and members of the travel community attended this significant occasion. During the celebration, these officials highlighted Himalaya Airlines’ contributions towards enhancing Nepal’s presence within the global aviation industry, improving international connections, and boosting both tourism and commerce. Currently, the airline maintains routes linking Nepal with countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. In a press release, the company emphasized their commemoration program aimed at honoring not only the milestones achieved but also expressing gratitude for continuous backing received from staff members, partners, and devoted travelers alike. Established officially in 2014 yet beginning commercial services two years later in 2016, Himalaya Airlines has gradually expanded into becoming an established carrier offering regular trips throughout major Asian cities along with select locations in the Middle East region.
