The coastal town is preparing for intense heat today, as forecasts predict temperatures could reach up to 41°C, as reported by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

This morning, Karachi reported a temperature of 32°C, accompanied by wind speeds of 15 km/h and humidity at 62%. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has advised citizens to take appropriate measures due to the ongoing heat.

In the meantime, the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has released a critical weather alert, cautioning about various ongoing systems that might lead to harsh circumstances across different regions of the nation within the upcoming 24 hours.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi face significant danger from two approaching weather systems anticipated to converge, which could lead to powerful gusts and torrential downpour tonight. The same meteorological circumstances are projected for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with Northeastern and Southeastern Punjab regions, where severe hailstorms, gales, and substantial precipitation have been forecasted.

Across Southern Punjab, specifically in areas like Rohi and Rahim Yar Khan, a sluggish weather system could lead to steady rain over an extended period. Meanwhile, cities such as Peshawar, Parachinar, Muzaffarabad, along with the Neelum Valley, might face intense thunderstorms accompanied by strong breezes and torrential rains.

Officials have asked people to refrain from non-essential travel, particularly in regions prone to flooding and hills, and to ensure the safety of weak buildings, trees, electrical wires, and solar arrays. Drivers should move their cars to protected spots.
