Iran denounces the U.S. travel ban, stating it reveals a 'racist mindset.'
On Saturday, Iran denounced the move by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration to impose a travel restriction on Iranian citizens as well as individuals from 11 additional countries, primarily located in the Middle East and Africa.
The travel restriction will be implemented starting from June 9th.
The Iranian official Alireza Hashemi-Raja, who serves as the Foreign Ministry’s director general for matters concerning Iranians overseas, stated that this policy demonstrates "an evident indication of the supremacy and racism prevalent among American decision-makers."
This prohibition extends to citizens from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. Additionally, seven other countries face some degree of limited travel constraints.

As part of the attack, Hamas seized 251 hostages and brought them into Gaza. Among those taken were Thai and Nepalese agricultural laborers who were abducted during the assault.
Pinta was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz, Israel. The country stated that an exclusive mission carried out by the Israeli army and Shin Bet recovered Pinta's remains from Gaza.
The last known Thai national held captive in Gaza was Pinta.
