Kathmandu, June 2 -- The Nepalese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has declared a mobile consular service scheduled for June 7 and 8 in Penang, Malaysia, aimed at assisting Nepali migrant workers in the area.

As stated by the embassy, the two-day camp will offer services for renewing passports, collecting passports, and addressing labor-related issues. The mobile event aims to support Nepalese workers living in and near Penang, which is roughly 350 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur, as mentioned in the embassy’s announcement.

The ceremony will take place at Sunshine Square, in the Level 4 Banquet Hall, located at Lot 27 Jalan Mayang Pasir, Bandar Bayan Baru, 11950 Bayan Lepas, Penang. Services will be provided from 8 am to 5 pm on June 7 and from 8 am to 1 pm on June 8.

For passport renewal applications, individuals whose current passports have less than 18 months before expiring must pay a fee of RM240. However, for those who are applying because their previous passports were misplaced, damaged, or have fully expired, the payment required is RM360. The necessary paperwork includes a thoroughly filled-out application form, a legible copy of your Nepali citizenship certificate, as well as an image of your former passport.
