TUI Southampton Airport welcomes Airways back after 15 years, introducing new routes to a prominent Spanish tourist spot.
The carrier plans to operate flights to Palma, which is the capital of Majorca, once every week out of Southampton Airport.
The initial flight departed on Tuesday, May 27, with operations scheduled to run through the end of September.
Gavin Williams, the managing director at Southampton Airport, states: "When the reintroduction of TUI was initially announced, our passengers were incredibly enthusiastic." announced last year .
It was thrilling to witness our passengers aboard the initial services, offering a stimulating new transportation option for the Central South area.
We are excited to welcome additional travelers on this route as we keep growing and improving our travel choices.
TUI last ran flights from Southampton to Majorca in 2009.
Karen Switzer, TUI UK's director of flight capacity management for aviation planning, stated: "We are incredibly thrilled about the reinstatement of TUI Airways at Southampton Airport, which will allow travelers to once again connect with the lively region that is Palma."


We recognize the significance for customers to have flight options from their nearby airports, and with this recent addition, the total number of regional airports served by TUI Airways now stands at 24.
We are excited to welcome passengers aboard starting in May next year and escorting them on their ideal vacation to Mallorca.
Palma Airport serves as the entry point to all that Majorca boasts, including brilliant beaches and Islamic monuments.
The island usually maintains an average temperature of about 20 degrees, so there isn’t truly a poor time to visit, even during fall.
