Kathmandu, May 29 -- According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather throughout the nation is anticipated to be partially to mostly overcast today.
Today in the afternoon, scattered areas within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces might see some light to medium rain along with thunderstorms. Additionally, certain hillier zones could witness similar weather conditions. In higher elevations of hills and mountains, one or two locations might receive slight precipitation in the form of either rain or snow.
This evening, the weather across the hillier parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces will stay mostly overcast, whereas other regions can expect clear to partially cloudy conditions. Scattered light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms might occur in some hills within Gandaki and Lumbini as well as in isolated spots elsewhere. Additionally, heavy downpours could happen at a couple of points in both Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Similarly, a few locations in the elevated hill and mountain regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces might experience some light rainfall or snowfall.
The division states that the prevailing weather conditions are being shaped by westerly and localized wind patterns, coupled with some humidity coming in from the Bay of Bengal.
